Garage Doors & Screen Porch!!!

There are a few new developments at the Hill, and finally they're something that you can see. (As opposed to wiring and ventilation ducts. Yawn!) Our garage doors arrived this week. Yippee! For some reason, they didn't look anything like I expected but I still like them. Seb had the same reaction, I think it might be because our doors are larger than the standard size so the proportions seem different. We love them!

The screen porch is expected to be the primary living space for 3 seasons a year. It's on the south side of the house, and maximizes both the view and the sunshine. It's accessed by french doors in the kitchen. Originally we were going to have a fireplace but something went wrong with the chimney design so for the time being, there's none. We might eventually get a wood stove. The big center beam comes from Seb's Dad's property in Quebec. The style matches the interior... beams and beadboard.
