Mystery Hill Random Updates

Great room beadboard ceilings are in progress.

Vicki and the new window in the stairwell.

Bathroom from hell. I have been given much grief by design types because our powder room is a full bathroom. (Shame shame) So we're trying to figure out how to make a full bathroom look more like a powder room. Unfortunately all solutions thus far involve tons of cash!

These doors are black, not brown. Interior shot of new entry doors. Since they're not fully installed, the exterior is still covered up with wood to keep the house secure.

Mystery Hill Visitors

Today we had the pleasure of a visit from Cousin Vicki (musician, artist, pyscho-therapist-to-be, and extraordinary fairy god mother of the girl called Chloe)...

Janet and Chloe were with her of course!

Mystery Hill Today

The last window in the silo/tower on the front is in. Hence the scaffolding. We waited to put it in til the porch roof was on so that we could adjust its placement accordingly :-)

Picking colours is a constant challenge and it seems an inperfect science. Here's a photo of our wooden soffets and our aluminum fascia and roof. The soffets (gray) look brown and the fascia (steel coloured) looks blue (its reflecting the sky)... It makes me wonder why I spend so much time picking things...
